Our bottles are made of plastic. With the high-quality airless system, the cream is easy to dose and stays fresh for a long time - even without many preservatives. Unfortunately, we have not yet found a more environmentally friendly solution for this.
For this reason, we collect the amount of plastic that we put into circulation and dispose of it properly. This is done through local projects and thus creates valuable jobs in developing countries. Cleanhub controls the activities implemented and measures the quantities recovered.
What does Cleanhub do?
CleanHub gives companies the opportunity to take direct responsibility for their plastic footprint. Working with local communities, CleanHub enables the collection and safe processing of non-recyclable plastic. To ensure effectiveness, it has developed track and trace technology that allows it to demonstrate how much plastic is being collected and where it is going after it's been dealt with.
CleanHub chooses recycling methods with the lowest possible environmental impact and uses its market position to enforce better working conditions for local workers.
What does plastic neutrality and plastic positivity mean?
Plastic neutrality means that for every amount of plastic produced, an equal amount of plastic waste is recovered from the environment to be disposed of appropriately - either recycled or reused.
We work with CleanHub to calculate our plastic footprint and recover the equivalent amount from the environment in countries like Indonesia or India, where a lot of plastic waste ends up uncontrolled in nature. In this way, we do our part to ensure that less plastic ends up in our oceans and support the development of local waste disposal infrastructure.
